Who can apply for membership of Limerick County Community & Voluntary Forum?

The Limerick County Community & Voluntary Forum compromises of forty-five representatives from the Community & Voluntary organisations in the County.

  1. Group/organisations must be active within County Limerick and have relevance in the locality or Electoral Area.
  2. Groups/organisations must be in existence for a minimum of six months prior to affiliating to the Forum. Groups/organisations must hold meetings and be broadly representative and accountable. An annual affiliation fee of €20 is in place for those organisations wishing to avail of the Insurance Scheme.
  3. Membership is open to all Community & Voluntary groups, individuals cannot be members.

Each affiliated group/organisation is entitled to one vote for the purpose of election onto their respective Area Forum.

The Limerick County Community & Voluntary Forum was founded in 2001 as a county wide representative, promotional, information and advisory group.

Membership involves a willingness to consult and work together on matters of common interest and concern. Each affiliated group is autonomous and is responsible for the conduct of it’s own business affairs.
