What is the Forum?

The Forum is a representative organisation for all community and voluntary organisations in the County. At present, the Forum has members from each of the electoral areas. Bruff, Newcastle, Rathkeale, Castleconnell, Kilmallock .

Since 2001, the Forum has given community and voluntary groups the chance to make a strong contribution towards the economic, social and cultural development of County Limerick. The Forum members have influenced future policy development, have helped determine what services and policies should be prioritised and have put fresh ideas on the centre stage. It has had a vital say.

Mission Statement

The Community and Voluntary Forum represents the views of the Community and voluntary groups by influencing policy and decision making for the benefit of the people of County Limerick through effective communication and consultation between the County Development Board, Strategic Policy Committees, Area Committees, other relevant bodies, this Forum and especially local community and voluntary groups.
