What are the benefits of being a member of the Limerick County Community & Voluntary Forum?
The forum provides information, advice and guidelines.
One of the main features would be the ability to work in a co-ordinated manner and for a common purpose.
With over 1,000 members a huge amount of knowledge and experience has been accumulated.
A key part of the work of the forum is to facilitate the exchange of information through members representing the voice of the voluntary groups on Strategic Planning Policy Committees, County Development Board, Drugs task force, VEC, Regional and National Fora.
The representation, policy co-ordination and planning of services and related work of the County Fora is carried out by an executive committee elected from the five electoral areas.
The life of the forum is concurrent with the life of the County Council.
The executive committee is also responsible for the admission of new member groups, subject to compliance with the forum’s management standard required

- Access to the Irish National Community & Voluntary Forum’s Group Insurance Facility. (Insurance at a fraction of present cost)
- Access to representation at County, Regional and National level.
- Field advice and support.
- Newsletter.
- Representation by the members of the Limerick County & Community Forum with Government departments and statuary agencies.
