PRIDE OF PLACE COMPETITION 2009
Pride of Place is a 32 county, all-island based competition which allows communities to showcase all that they are proud of about their town or village. The competition is run by Co-Operation Ireland, in conjunction with local authorities. The focus is on local people, and how they work to shape, change and enjoy all that is good about their area.
Limerick County Council is inviting submissions of interest from community groups and voluntary bodies who would be interested in participating in this year’s competition.
Towns and villages may submit an expression of interest under the following population categories:
Category 1 population 0 – 200
Category 2 population 201 – 500
Category 3 population 501 - 1,000
Category 4 population 1,001 – 2,000
Category 5 population in excess of 2,000
Individual (Single Issue) projects, under the following categories, may also submit expressions of interest:
Single Issue 1 Heritage
Single Issue 2 Youth
Single Issue 3 Integration
Submissions of interest, in writing (no more than 2 A4 pages), setting out the reasons your community/facility
would like to be included in this year’s competition, should be submitted to:

Submissions will be evaluated, and communities will be notified by 10 April, 2009.
