Free waste prevention day
Limerick City Council and Limerick County Council are hosting a free waste prevention day on Tuesday 25th November, 2008.
While recycling rates have improved greatly in recent years there is now a need to focus on waste prevention. This day has been organised to encourage and assist community groups in reducing and recycling their waste.
There will be a tour of the Mungret Recycling Centre followed by a number of talks about waste prevention, energy saving and water conservation (please see reverse for schedule). This workshop will provide your group with useful information and knowledge that you can use to improve the environmental performance within your organisations, communities and homes.
If you would like to participate please contact the relevant local authority below before Friday 14th November. All participants will receive two free entry tokens for any of the County Limerick Recycling Centres.
